Hologa Niue Cultural Festival
Uniting all thirteen villages on one stage — the largest Niue cultural celebration in the world
Hologa Niue is a one-day-only, full-day cultural exhibition of Niue pride, where all thirteen villages come together to share their stories, style, and spirit in one unforgettable celebration.
This is not a competition.
There are no judges, no trophies, no rankings.
Instead, Hologa Niue invites the audience to experience it all — to move through the festival, watch every village, and decide for themselves which performances, songs, and moments become their favourites across the day. Each village brings its own colour, energy, and expression, creating a living showcase of Niue culture in motion.
With over 10,000 people expected to attend — from a global Niue population of just 40,000 — Hologa Niue represents an extraordinary coming together of Niue descendants from across Aotearoa and the world.
Across the day, performances from Hakupu, Liku, Lakepa, Mutalau, Toi, Hikutavake, Namukulu, Tuapa, Makefu, Alofi, Tamakautoga, Avatele, and Vaiea will fill the stage, creating a continuous flow of sound, movement, and storytelling.
Beyond the stage, the festival grounds will be alive all day with:
🌺 Food stalls serving island favourites
🎨 Craft and cultural stalls
🎶 Music, movement, and moments everywhere you turn
Expect a bold explosion of colour, village pride on full display, and an atmosphere that feels more like a cultural village brought to life than a traditional show.
Vagahau Niue is one of the world’s most vulnerable languages.
Hologa — meaning descendant — is a call to gather, to show up, and to ensure Vagahau Niue and Niue culture are seen, heard, and passed on from one generation to the next.
Whether you come for the performances, the food, the stalls, or the feeling — Hologa Niue is a day you’ll remember long after it ends.
Proudly supported by Creative New Zealand and the Ministry for Pacific Peoples, and delivered in proud partnership with the Hakupu Atua Trust Board.
